Katu’s Farm Food Sovereingnity

To face the impact of COVID-19 pandemic for local community in the village, Komunitas Celebes Bergerak (KCB) and Serikat Petani Katu (SPK) doing collaboration to build food security for local native Katu village, Lore Tengah District, Poso City, Central Sulawesi Province.

Food security program consist of build food barn and small scale organic farm by empowering poor farmers who joined in SPK. In this small scale farm, we focusing at growing local rice variety which producing without pestiside and organic fertilizer.

In this video, we recording a harvesting process until aid distribution of rice processed product of community garden to poor and fragile farmers in Katu village.
